Brushless DC Motor

A Brushless DC (BLDC) motor is a type of synchronous electric motor powered by direct current (DC) but controlled using electronic commutation instead of mechanical brushes and a commutator. BLDC motors are widely used in industries such as automotive industry, consumer electronics, industrial automation, and medical equipment due to their high efficiency, reliability, and low maintenance compared to traditional brushed DC motors.

Unlike brushed motors, where the commutator physically switches current direction, BLDC motors rely on Hall effect sensors or sensorless control to determine the rotor’s position and electronically switch the current.
